Pricing

$0.99 + 2% of what you send. Plus a 0.6% FX margin we print on the receipt.

Most apps hide their FX margin inside a friendly-looking rate. We publish ours as a line item. The number you see at confirmation is the number that leaves your wallet, on every corridor, at every hour.

This is our published launch pricing. Coynitt is not yet open to the public and cannot accept customer funds until its FINTRAC MSB registration is approved.

How The Price Is Built

Three components. That is the whole formula.

$0.99
Flat fee

Covers the cost of getting money on and off the rails. It does not grow with the amount you send.

fixed, any amount
2%
Send fee

Our margin on the transfer itself, charged on the amount you send, not on what arrives.

2% × CAD 300 = $6.00
0.6%
FX margin

Applied to the converted amount and printed as its own line on the quote and the receipt.

0.6% × $293.25 = $1.76
$0.99 + (2% × 300) + (0.6% × 293.25) = $8.75 · 2.92% all-in
By Corridor

The same price whether it is Nairobi or Bulawayo.

What We Don't Charge

The fees that make the industry's real margin.

The advertised price is rarely the price. Most of what a diaspora sender actually pays sits in the lines below — which is why we do not have them.

The Hidden Number

A "zero fee" transfer is usually the expensive one.

An exchange-rate margin is the difference between the mid-market rate and the rate you are given. It does not appear as a fee, so a transfer advertised at no charge can quietly cost 4–7% of the amount sent.

Ours is 0.6%, stated as a line item on the quote and the receipt, computed against the mid-market reference rate at the moment you lock.

Questions

On the money.

Is the price different on a weekend?

No. Same price at 3am on a Sunday as at noon on a Tuesday — the rails do not keep banking hours.

What rate do you convert at?

The mid-market reference rate at the moment you lock the quote, with our 0.6% margin shown separately rather than baked into the rate.

Does the recipient pay anything?

No. What the quote says they receive is what they receive, including at mobile-money cash-out.

Is there a minimum or maximum?

Minimum CAD 20. At launch, maximum CAD 5,000 per transfer and CAD 15,000 a month per verified sender, with higher tiers on request.

Do large sends get a better rate?

The percentage is flat, so the flat fee matters less as amounts grow. Sends above CAD 10,000 are priced individually.

Will these prices change?

If they do, we will publish the change here before it takes effect and email everyone with a wallet. We do not intend to discover new fees later.
